To all Members and customers,
I would like to thank the Governor and all members of the State Government for allowing us to play golf during the current state of affairs worldwide. We will open Zumbrota Golf Club for play on Wednesday, April 22 at 8 am. We will begin to take reservations for Wednesday and beyond on Monday, April 20.
This year, since so many of us have been affected in one way or another by the “Stay at Home” order we will allow membership payments by credit card without any additional processing fees. Also, if you pay your Membership by May 20 you will also receive one free round of golf with cart for a guest and 1 free 30 minute lesson with our new Head Professional Brent Smith (Smitty).
Golf will have a lot of restrictions on members, customers and employees during this time. 1) Do not arrive at the course more than 20 minutes ahead of your tee time. 2) Do not congregate anywhere on property. ALWAYS MAINTAIN 3 YARDS OF SOCIAL DISTANCING. 3) The clubhouse and all Food and Beverage outlets will be closed to prohibit any gathering before or after play. 4) Contact points such as restrooms on the golf course WILL HAVE “Hand Sanitizer” before you walk in and also on the inside before you walk out for your use. The staff will also service these restrooms as much as the business level requires. 5) NO Tee Markers, scorecards, rakes, sand/seed bottles, water jugs will be placed on the course to minimize contact with any equipment that is not yours. 6) Tee Times and play will be in groups of 3 or less to promote SOCIAL DISTANCING and faster play. CARTS: 1 person per cart unless residing in the same residence. 7) FLAGSTICKS MUST REMAIN IN THE HOLES AT ALL TIMES AND ARE NOT TO BE TOUCHED IF AT POSSIBLE. 8) Upon completion of your round please drop your cart off to the cart return area or if walking proceed to your automobile and leave the facility without “congregating”.
The State of Minnesota is allowing us to play golf during a worldwide pandemic, please follow the rules above so this privilege is not revoked like it has been in other states. If you have any questions regarding this or anything else at Zumbrota Golf Club, please contact Brent (Smitty) by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the golf shop at (507) 732-5817. We all want golf in Minnesota, now let’s be responsible and respect the opportunity to play golf in these extremely weird times in history. Hopefully in a few weeks we can have a beverage in the clubhouse and laugh about how many people beat the pro.
